Austin

Austin turned 15 on the 4th of November. He also earned his permit from drivers ed. OH BOY! His grandpa Brad "sold" him his 1977 Ford Thunderbird. Austin showed a lot of interest in the car and they started working on it. He asked grandpa about buying it and grandpa made him a deal that would only be a grandpa/grandson deal. Thanks Brad. Marshall and both boys have been having a great time working on the car. I don't see much of them with all the "male bonding" going on with a new project to work on, but thats ok.
Austin took us all for a spin last Sunday. Which is how we discovered a little work that needed to be done - Austin was driving (deep breath), and the 3 of us were with him. Going down Hwy 48 in the DARK and the lights shut off. They just went OFF. Marshall & I were trying to tell Austin what to do. He wasn't worried, "he could see just fine." Well we made it home safely, but I am thinking the driving practice needs to be with the father. I do not have what it takes........ Lord please give my son a guardian angel to watch over him! I'll take one too.

My Guys

We had some fun pictures taken in Idaho Falls a couple of weeks ago. I just loved this of my boys & hubby. Call me proud wife & mom! It was a lot of fun, but makes you realize how old your children are getting. Oh Geez!

This was taken on one of the walks on the beach that Janeene and I took. We only got out in the morning twice, but it was quite enjoyable. Even with the clouds and wind it was AWESOME. On the internet people complained about the rocky beach. You can kind of see some of them in this picture. I quite liked them. Especially the one I had Janeene stand on so I could take her picture. The waves came in pretty HARD before she could get off. Needless to say she got a little wet. Funny! Good thing my sister is a good sport. Right, Janeene?

Snorkeling

This was us on the boat snorkeling.
Mom asked for "special attention"
from Pepe - not peepee. They took us all out on a boat, kind of like a catamaran only different. They stopped at 2 different places for us to snorkel. It was a pretty windy day so the ocean was choppy, but still very fun. And then there came the rain storm. Oh brother, some how being out on a boat in the open in a rain storm in Mexico is even fun. Call me crazy, but we would probably do it again. How about February?

Mexico 08

One of my favorite poems is "Footprints In The Sand". Without contradicting the poem, Janeene and I thought it would be fun to have a picture of "our feet" in the sand. We went to Cancun in October with our mom. We had been to Mexico together before but this was mom's 1st time. We all needed a little "down time". We had a great time: relaxing, eating, drinking, snorkeling, shopping etc. Well mom & Janeene had fun shopping I HATED the "market". If I got called baby or mama 1 more time, I was going to blow! Any hew the moral of the story was - we would like to put our feet in Mexico sand any chance we get. Mom is already talking about going back, we'll see. It was a great time! Thanks mom and Janeene for putting up with me "missing my boys @ home." Whoda thunk!

Austin

Oh my goodness! Is that my son, how can it be. He was a baby yesterday! Austin is in the 9th grade this year, 6' 1" and growing! He is on the 9th grade football team and signed up for drivers ed. We were going to sign him up for drivers ed earlier in the summer, but he had a lot going on. In July he had a long time problem fixed - not being able to breathe out of the right side. He basically had 4 surgeries to fix all that was wrong. OUCH! It was a long hard week, but now we are so glad we got it taken care of. Thanks to a great Dr. we are breathing and moving on. He is also allergic to about everything under the sun we found out. So weekly allergy shots it is. Those darn mothers that make you go to the Dr!

He also had a lot of fun this summer with the boat and wakeboarding. He is a lot like his dad and thinking about what his first vehicle should be.

Carson

Carson with his dark hair. He turned 12 on July 3rd. He loved his birthday, we went to our friends' huge 4th of July party with blow up toys, music, and fireworks. Then the next day we left for Bear Lake. We bought a wakeboard for his birthday, and he believes he is the master. He is in the 7th grade. School work is not his priority more like football and girls! Oh Boy! We love watching him grow and he has the greatest spirit.

Boating Fun

More boating fun. This was at the first of summer, it was a little "chilly". Aunt Neen also went with us as much as she could. We loved being able to spend time together. We even got Grandma Georgette out one day at Palisades. We think she had fun, but she doesn't want to talk about getting out of the lake with the ladder on the boat!

Marshall

Most everyone knows that Marshall had a huge change in his life this summer. The 1st of June he quit working for Rigby Chevrolet to go to work for Klassic Cars in St Anthony. So far so good, but what an adaption. Life is short, and we wanted to keep Marshall looking like he does in this picture, which is my favorite of him!

Furry loved ones

You can't really talk about our family without including our 4 legged children. Sami on the right is 8 1/2 years old. Not the smartest tool in the shed, but we love her very much. Our 2 newest additions that we have had for over a year are Jack & Maya. As you can see they are the best of buddies. They love to play and sleep together. We would have bet money that we would never have a cat. But as you can see, things change.

Our boys

The highlights of our life.....

Our 2 boys in the summer of 2008.

We have been very busy this year, I will try to summarize the highlights.

Are you thinking maybe the boys' hair looks a little dark? Your right, for the last day of school Carson wanted black hair. So I say "pick your battles". Needless to say, I did an awesome job with the dye, and much to MY surprise it lasted ALL SUMMER LONG!

We bought our 1st boat this spring and have loved it! That's what we did all summer long.
Both boys had great fun on the wakeboard.
